FAQ

What do you build?

We offer construction and remodeling services from small to large. From repairs to remodeling to additions to other structures or homes.

Review our Service offerings here.

Do you build custom homes?

We are happy to explore your custom home project if you plan to build in Unincorporated Larimer or Weld counties.

Do you do commercial work?

We are licensed and experienced in commercial work. Our main focus is residential, but we do the occasional tenant improvement, upgrade, or repair work for our commercial clients as well.

How much will it cost?

We don’t guess. Every project is custom-designed and carefully estimated. After our initial discovery call, we’ll walk you through a realistic budget range based on your scope, goals, and priorities. Once we get to the design or pre-construction phase, you’ll receive a detailed line-item estimate with no surprises.

When can you start?

Our schedule fills up quickly because we take on fewer projects at a time — on purpose. Once we understand your timeline and scope, we can let you know our next available design start date and projected construction window. We don’t overbook, so when it’s your turn, you have our full attention.

Can I still use my kitchen or bathroom during construction?

Sometimes, but not always — and never fully. We’ll help you plan for temporary setups (e.g., makeshift kitchens, alternate bathrooms) and phase work to minimize disruption when possible. If full access is critical, we can explore project staging or alternative solutions during planning.

Why do you do an initial consultation call?

Even though most contractors will come straight to your site, we believe this call helps both of us avoid wasting time if the basics don’t line up.

During this first call, we can quickly figure out if your project is a good fit based on scope, location, timing, and general budget expectations.

We don’t offer site visits right away because those often turn into working sessions — reviewing design ideas, taking measurements, looking at inspiration photos — and that naturally creates the expectation of a free estimate. We take a more structured approach that ensures clarity, not guesswork.

When do I need a permit?

Most major remodels — anything structural, electrical, plumbing, or involving walls, doors, or windows — will require a permit. We handle all of that for you and include it in our scope. If a permit isn’t needed, we’ll let you know — but we always build to code whether it’s required or not.

Are you licensed & insured?

Yes. We’re licensed contractors in Fort Collins and Larimer County and can build in Loveland and Weld County as well. We stay current on all continuing education and code requirements. We also work in some of the strictest jurisdictions in the region, so our processes are built to pass the highest standards.

Yes. We are fully insured. We carry general liability insurance and, where applicable, workers’ comp. We’ll provide proof of insurance upon request, and we’re happy to explain exactly what’s covered and why it matters.

How long will it take?

That depends on the size and complexity of your project. Design typically takes 2–8 weeks. Construction timelines vary — for example, a kitchen might take 8–12 weeks, while a full remodel could take several months. We’ll give you a realistic schedule based on your specific scope and stick to it.

Do you pass on your contractor discounts?

We don’t mark up materials unnecessarily, and we’re transparent about pricing. In some cases, we can pass along trade pricing or help you access better value products. More importantly, we guide you toward selections that balance aesthetics, performance, and cost, so you don’t overspend in the wrong places.

Do you hire subcontractor or do you do it all in-house?

Both. We have a trusted in-house team for design, project management, and key trades — and we bring in top-tier specialty subcontractors (tile, electrical, plumbing, etc.) who meet our quality and communication standards. You’ll always know who’s on your job and why they’re there.
